HEAVENLY COLORS, AND HEAVENLY THOUGHTS!

The color challenge over on SCS today was a beautiful color combo by Sallie Fisher, of primrose petals, pumpkin pie, and basic grey.  Who woulda thunk it?   I kept thinking it needed brown, not grey…..but then I thought hey, it’s from Sallie, who has a KEEN eye for color and she’s an artist! 😉 So I pulled out all the stops, and I have to say I am pretty happy with this card, it kinda sings to me!  Last week I didn’t really like my card.  Nothing wrong with the colors, but it was a one layer card…..I was kinda bored with it. 🙂 I wasn’t even looking forward to uploading it.  THIS week, I was looking forward to going home all day at work so I could upload the card……bwahahaha….am I a tad OCD or what?  About stamping anyway, yes I am!!  I was thinking about heaven the other day, and I was just wondering….will we stamp in heaven?  Cuz in my little pea brain, I can’t imagine life without stamping.  Sometimes in my better worry moments, I think what if i get carpal tunnel, or my eyesight fails me like my grand mother’s did at 90 something?  If I can’t stamp, I just can’t live! Is that a bit over dramatic?  I eventually came around to thinking, Gosh, heaven is so much more, I am sure!! I can trust God that if there is no stamping, there will be other wonderful things to fill my days, like constant communion with my maker……definitely compares!! 😉  I will just have to leave that to God…but if I get there, and there IS no stamping, I ‘m gonna be flying around looking for a suggestion box….yah….that’s what I’ll do…..Until next time, Karen

I love that card, and thought your writing about stamping in heaven was great and funny. As a matter of fact, as I read it, I thought you said that in heaven you will "spend time with your marker"…..LOL! Not your maker. Was just chuckling to myself and thought I'd share it with you. Gorgeous, Gorgeous card. And I think heaven will be way more than our puny human brains can even imagine!!!

This card is gorgeous! Love it. Just also want you to know you are not alone in all your thoughts about stamping. I have very dry eyes — 3 kinds of medications, arthritis — more meds., and carpal tunnel — had surgery, but I have to be vigilant. Glad to know I'm in good company! Have a great week! Nancy B

Hi Karen, Wow, the colors in that card are vibrant! Love it.
Your post struck a cord with me for two reasons: 1)A good friend and I dream about who we will stamp with in Heaven, and you are always on the list! So, if you get there first, please save us a spot. and 2) I have carpal tunnel, the doctor said it's severe! While I await for the needed surgery I am able to stamp quite a bit, so you can relax about that. Now if you lose your eye sight at 90, well that will be a loss for the world. God bless you always!

Karen – I was laughing all through your post – I feel the same way about stamping and I'm a lot older than you so the possibilities of not being able to stamp are getting closer…whatever will I do – ha! xoxo

Your cards just amaze me!! I love them, wish I could color just a fraction as good as you. I look forward to ALL your creations.

I don't know if there will be stamping there or not. I hope so. And I hope we are at the same table!! There are a lot of my SCS friends I would like to meet in person, but know that won't happen in this lifetime… but maybe in the next.

OH MY GOSH!!! KAREN! you and I think alike!… there is nothing I'd rather do than make cards… except surf Pinterest & SCS drooling over cards like yours and finding new (to me) dies & embossing folders… a real addiction for me… thanks for sharing your thoughts today!… love the card too…;-)

Orange and gray! Who would have thought I would like that combination. Very pretty card. Now you have me thinking, what will Heaven be like? I do not know, I only know it will be PERFECT. Warm hugs…
