So the challenge this time is to make an unusual fold – I saw this one on Pinterest, of course an entirely different card but that’s where I saw the fold. The base of the card is just a 1/2 sheet of 8,1/2×11 card stock cut the long way and folded in half, and then you fold one of the halves in half, and then turn it upside down, and then add the panel to the front – the panel that has the snowflake on it. 🙂 That panel could be any size you want. Pretty simple, except impossible to stand on it’s own. I say this so that you don’t rip your hair out trying to make it stand up……yah, like I did. I finally looked closely at the pic on Pinterest and noticed the card was sorta leaning against some material to hold it up. i made a little prop for mine, like 1/2 a card so it wouldn’t show in the pic, but look, seriously – gravity would make this fall down if not for my little prop. 🙂 Okay, while I have everyone’s attention, PRAYERS please, it seems my twin grandchildren will be having a birthday picked out for them tomorrow. Baby Girl is apparently having a hard time holding her own against big brother…..she is not growing as fast as she should while Baby BOY, is already over 5 pounds. Baby girl is just under 4 pounds. So please say a prayer for God to keep those tiny babies in HIS hands, and to surround my daughter and her husband with peace and joy as they await the imminent arrival of these two precious babies. I am trying so hard to LEAN on the EVERLASTING arms, and trust that HE loves these babies even more then we do! I may be a gramma again by the end of next week……so say a little prayer for us!~~ Until next time, Karen

December 8, 2012Oh Karen, my prayers for all the family for sure and a big hug across the seas. My SIL lost a twin in her first pregnancy, I know all about the various complications. I hope and pray that you'll just be blessed with two healthy early arrivals who'll thrive on all the TLC.
And wow, what a gorgeous card. I hate those ones that won't stand, though, and DH hates them even more.

December 8, 2012I am and will be standing in faith with you and praying for Bethany and her husband, those two babies and you. We speak with faith that those babies both weigh the perfect weight and come when they are supposed to. Stand strong, lean on Him when you feel like you aren't strong anymore, and receive His peace

December 8, 2012Will keep all of you in my prayers! My niece recently had her first baby 7 weeks early via emergency c-section – baby Kyla was 3 lbs 1 oz, is now over 4 lbs and doing very well should be going home in the next week or two. Medical technology is amazing for these little "early arrivals"!

December 8, 2012Very, very pretty Karen! Thanks for the heads up on it's stability. Maybe I'll try to incorporate a stand as part of the card back. Love the punched and lace details.

December 8, 2012Very, very pretty Karen. Will have to try. I think I'd work out a prop attached to the card back maybe that would help. Love all the punched details and lace. Thanks for the heads up on it's stability!

December 8, 2012An interesting and beautiful card! Sending prayers that both babies will come out of this healthy and happy. I was a twin too and both my brother and I were premature and needed a lot of special care after we were born (and this was almost 70 years ago!)

December 8, 2012Prayers and congratulations on the impending delivery of those sweet little ones. Had a friend with exactly the same situation. The "babies" are two now and the "little" sister completely owns her brother! 😉 Hugs for you and your family!
Of course the card is stunning…don't want to forget to mention that!

December 8, 2012Will keep all of you in my prayers. I have a new great-niece born via emergency c-section 7 weeks early. The little peanut has grown from barely 3 lbs to over 4 lbs and will hopefully be home in the next week or two. Medical technology has come a long way for these "early arrivals", but God is even greater! Hope all goes well for your daughter and soon-to-be-born grandbabies!
