HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY…..

The SU only blog challenge for this week is to make any Mother’s Day card…..so I chose this great new set to be released in May. Wow- this one is really, really fun to watercolor!! I use what I call marker layering when I watercolor an image like this. I lay down a little bit of the color, in this case poppy parade and then in a circular movement I use a blender pen to spread the color out to the outer edge. Then I keep layering more and more marker into the center of my image, making sure to blend, but leave the outside lighter. Then I lay down an even darker color at the base of each petal, in this case, Riding Hood Red. This is my favorite technique in the whole entire world. I can fall asleep watercoloring, but when I do the results aren’t quite as crisp. 😉 I hope you like my BOLD Mother’s Day card…..with that great striped gg ribbon I use every “once in a blue moon”…..and that is the understatement of the year!!!! Happy Stamping everyone!! Until next time……
