THE SHADOW OF THE CROSS….
The SUO challenge this week is “Easter Fun” – and I chose to have fun making this unusual card, but to highlight the more serious side of Easter. I especially love the way this photo captured the shadow of the cross. I made the little flowers on my cross using a tiny tiny flower punch, layering the flowers and then sort of fraying them with my paper snips. It was a long and tedious process to make enough tiny roses to cover my cross. Once I finished making all those little roses, I had fun putting the rest of this card together. I just love this sentiment, because truly Jesus IS the indescribable gift to each one of us from a God who loves us with an unconditional and never ending love, that never quits. I can only think of how I love my own children, as imperfect as that love may be when you compare it to how GOD loves YOU and ME. I know that when one of my children hurts, I hurt right along with them, and there isn’t much I wouldn’t do to try and help them through any pain to get to the other side. When I think that that is how JESUS LOVES ME….it’s an indescribable gift in every way! Oh how HE loves you and me!! Oh how HE loves you and me!! He gave His life, what more could He give?, Oh how He loves you, Oh how He loves me, Oh how He loves you and me!! A blessed Easter to all of you!! Until next time, Karen
