BACK IN MY FLOWERBOX……

SO….it’s my turn to pick the colors over on the SCS color challenge.  My usual pattern is to just stamp a bunch of cards and then pick one from what I stamp and pick those colors, whatever colors are in the card.  But this week my stamping cohort needed the colors early, so I had to do it the other way around, start with colors and then make the card……yikes…..lip freeze……but in a case like this I choose colors I KNOW I can hop back  into my flower box and watercolor my heart out…..and that way I know I can’t go wrong.  I just love Raspberry Ripple, Old Olive, and Island Indigo.  These three colors sing to me…..and I had fun making this card and for dessert, pearls.  When in doubt, choose what you KNOW you can do, right?? After all, last week I had to make banners…and I’ve been stretching a lot lately, so every other card about I jump right back into my “flower box” where I am most comfortable.  Kinda like life…..after a long hard day at work presenting treatment plans and being all dressed professional and stuff, I like to come home, put on my pi’s and wrap in a warm blanket on my favorite chair……it’s like my flower box chair.  haha.  I have a favorite blankie too.  Okay, enough silliness….but aren’t we really just creatures of habit?  Don’t we tend to cling to what we know, what makes us comfortable and happy?  Oh well, maybe next week I will really venture outside the flower box, but for now, I’m gonna enjoy the sunshine and warmth inside my little flower box……Until next time…….Karen

Gorgeous card, Karen! I always enjoy reading your blog, laughing at the things you write about, and learning some neat things in stamping, too. Your card this time has colors I also love; red, blue and green. The card has such a rich, almost vintage feel, and the colors you used "made" it so special!
