FEATURING…..PINK!
The SUO Blog challenge for today is use pinks and or purples. No brainer for me – PINK!! I played and played and played with that rose die that’s in the occasions mini and finally made a couple I liked. I tried to shabby chic this one up by using my paper snips on it and roughing it up….nothing like a pink rose to make your day!! But I tell you, my friend Tina and her downline made wreaths from this die, entire WREATHS of ROSES,,,,and alas, after making three I was exhausted!!! I think it would take me a WEEK to make a WREATH!! I used Blushing Bride card stock with Very Vanilla. And I wrinkled up my bow, by first getting it wet and rolling it up in a ball and then going back and forth with it like a fan fold and holding it in a clothespin till it dried and then making my nice wrinkly bow…..I love the shabby chic look so much, but I gotta say, it’s pretty labor intensive and after making this card, I think I could skip the elliptical for that day…..ya know?? I seriously think I burned about 300 calories roughing this thing up and making that ribbon and rose!! Hope you like it cuz I worked REALLY hard on it!!! Happy Tuesday everyone!! Until next time, Karen
