WONDERFUL WEDDINGS……
The theme this week for our SUO Challenge, is weddings! How appropriate for me!! I just went to a wedding yesterday! One of our long time family friends, favorite family friends…..the youngest child got married. Yes, I remember watching Mike Smith and my Mike (Barber) make sand castles together every summer at York Beach in Maine when they were wee ones. I remember years and years of fun with the Smiths…..so getting together after kids have all grown and have kids of their own, was lots of fun. Seeing in my minds eye, this family with four sons as they used to be, and then seeing four men standing before us….just one of those moments when you have to take a deep breath or you will cry. There is so much JOY in a wedding, right? A beautiful bride, and a handsome groom, and all seems right with the world!! Congratulations Mike and Lindsey- may the Lord bless you with years of JOY and HAPPINESS,,,,until you watch your own kids build sand castles at the beach…..and then you turn around for a moment, and they have become adults with children of their own. Ain’t life GRAND???

June 14, 2011Such a gorgeous "I do" card! The red, black and cream is such a stately color combo! Yes there is a "catch your breath" moment when you realize how all your children's friends that you watched grow along with your child, are all grown up too!!
